Antioch Farms is a wholesale nursery in Perry, Ohio founded in 1972 by Paul and Linda Hofer.  Paul is a graduate of Ohio State University in Landscape Horticulture and worked as a perennial grower for seven years for Wayside Gardens when they were located in Mentor, Ohio.  Linda is a CPA and works for small governments and for the nursery.  Their two daughters, Rachel and Sara, while growing up, helped build the nursery to what it is today.

Antioch Farms is a grower of Hosta, Grasses, Hemerocallis, Peonies and other popular perennials.  It is also the home of Hosta Paul’s Glory (Hosta of the Year in 1999), Hosta Sara’s Sensation (New Introduction), Hosta Antioch, Hosta Perry’s True Blue, Hosta Lindy and Yucca Hofer’s Blue.

Being located in Northeast Ohio, the soil is very sand making for fibrous root systems.  Plants are available as both bare root and in 2 ¼ inch, 3 inch  and 4 inch liners for year round availability.  Antioch Farms does not grow in sizes larger than 4 inch, but the four inch can be retailed in garden centers.  Antioch Farms does not sell internationally.

All orders are available for pick up at the nursery, delivered locally or shipped via UPS.
